How do we qualify?

A child must have Medicaid

Must have a need for skilled nursing

A doctors order for services is required.

Child must have seen their PCP within 30 days prior to admit.

What is a PPEC (TEXAS)? What is a PDHC (LOUISIANA)?

Lauves Pediatric is a Pediatric day health care (PDHC) and Prescribed pediatric extended care center (PPEC) facility that provides physician ordered multi-disciplinary outpatient care to medically fragile special  needs children ages birth to 21 who require skilled nursing care. This program is Medicaid funded.

Are these services are available in addition to Private duty nursing (PDN’s)? 

YES

Who can refer a patient? 

Anyone…. MD, nurse, social worker, family member, ect…

Is there any cost for this program?

No! we are 100% Medicaid funded.

Do you provide transportation? 

Yes, within 30 mile radius of our facility.

What is skilled nursing?

  • Feeding tubes

  • Tracheostomy

  • Oxygen administration

  • Suctioning

  • Bi-PAP/C-PAP

  • Cough Assist Machine

  • CPT Vest (Chest Physiotherapy) or manual CPT

  • Ventilator

  • Respiratory Care

  • Seizure Interventions

  • IV Therapy

  • Medi-port/Port-a-Cath access/maintenance

  • Catheter insertion

  • Wound Care

  • Medication administration
